Tarkett floors reached homeowners through flooring retailers, distributors and contractors rather than direct sale. A retailer programme logo marked wood flooring retailers profiled in their geographic areas as leaders committed to providing the most image conscious and fashionable Tarkett products available in the marketplace.
The original locator asked for a city, a state and a postal code. Its own advice was to broaden a search by using the state list alone, and to use only the first few digits of a postal code to reach other cities nearby when no retailer appeared in your own.
